Sometimes looks can be deceiving. I set out to create a stool based on the instability of newborn animals, like newborn moose. Something which visually would appear different from the actual feel and comfort of the final result. Hope you enjoy the build!

My, what a huge head you have.

Very relaxing! I would not have left the wood plugs sticking out, though... That said, nicely done!

The master is the master! +Switch & Lever

In my opinion it looks nicer with them sticking out, the plan was to cut them off, but when I saw how they looked I left them there.

Is that Zach Herberholtz music I hear playing in the background?

next video suggestion, "How to get access to heavy machinery without going bankrupt and why using it does not in any way devalue my content"
I can personally understand, but judging by the comments on most of your videos there might be some people who need this spelled out for them

The craftsmanship is of the highest quality

+Switch & Lever oh damn I really thought I was 😂😂

I’m afraid not. I passed 100000 yesterday. Check my Instagram for the announcement 🙂

Nice Videography Daniel. Loved the camera mounted drill...shot selection was excellent throughout. Personally loved the music mix also, very fitting for the build. In some places those are called Sword Chairs so knights (sword carrying people) could sit and not take off their swords.

Thought this might help your thumb out...you could print one¿ https://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Stops-Rust-High-Performance-Comfort-Spray-Grip-Accessory-241526/100670383
Thanks Daniel, Most Excellent!

Thanks man, I appreciate it!

I have actually used one of those spray grips before and I don't like them all that much. I find I don't have as good of a control, especially in tight quarters, when using it. Spray finger fatigue is only an issue during long sessions, and I did three coats on the chair so it started hurting a bit towards the end :)

♥ ♥ ♥ Great & Beauty :) Thank you ♥

Beautiful piece! I’d love to hear more about your design process. Maybe see some of the iterations you possibly went through.

There’s a lot that goes on in my head. I iterate a bit subconsciously. For this once I actually drew it up on paper and in CAD it was already done in my head and the CAD step was mostly to confirm thicknesses and proportions. From there it’s just building.

I guess that’s part of the beauty of doing things for myself, I don’t have to validate and communicate each iterative step that goes on inside my, admittedly messy, mind 🙂

damn that bandsaw blade is dull.....and no set on the teeth....

Oh cool thanks

I always credit the music in the description of my videos and I have so far exclusively only used Creative Commons of public domain music.

Good project

What a load of sit ;) Elegant.

Toppen! Vad är det för verkstad du jobbar i? (Letar en i stockholmstraken själv :D)

Synd, ser ju ut att vara fantastisk! :)

I love the music and another satisfying build to watch!

Snygg pall/stol och fint hantverk.

it will be very easy to fall

I didn’t realize you had a chance to sit on it to make that comment. It’s not more likely to fall than any other three legged stool.

Loved it.
Great Job.

This is the first video of yours I have seen. I liked it but not the music - talking is so much better.

Love the design and the music was a nice touch.

Thanks man!

exelente estilo

muy buen trabajo

was this a foureyes reference at the beginning? ;D

Stoolception!

This gives me good ideas about my next stool. It's going to be a solid one.

Ooh! Interesting! Looking forward to seeing it!

Nice work sir

That bandsaw blade might be ever so slightly.... dull.

Just a tad 😉

En nydelig taburet, en rigtig god video. Men jeg forstår ikke hvorfor der skal være musik på lydsporet. Det forstyrer den gode oplevelse!

För att jag tycker om det och jag gör videor som jag själv tycker om 🙂

watch at 2x the music still sounds good

TOOLS TOOLS TOOLS. I wish I had more tools.

Great video! Enjoyed seeing this one come together.

Music for those with ADHD

it is beautiful and wonderfully made, but I'm pretty sure if I sat on one of those it would explode... I would hit my butt on the floor, two legs would fold up and hit me on the ears and one on the balls and teeth... 😐
...really loved the build though!!! 👍😃

You’d be surprised how sturdy it is actually. I though it would at least flex a little when sitting but it doesn’t move a millimeter!

Not even Frank Horwarth has a panel saw. Impressive wood working toolshop mate. Cool stool, too.

Frank has a lot of other awesome stuff though! 😄

you might want to lower the upper bearing guides on your bandsaw to reduce deflection

Yeah, they were placed higher than I’d like as a conscious choice so I could shoot better. If I was sawing without cameras they’d be much lower 🙂

Love the look of the plywood. Great design for the stool.

What’s that wood? Birch?

Laminate the seat as a curve?

Homemade plywood!

Lovely stool!

Thanks bro! 🙂

Speaking as a moose, I approve.

Nice design and video. : )

The music is very on fleek. At least that's how you kids talk nowadays I think. I like it!

it isn't

Very nice one mate. It's good to see you again, even more with this woodworking project.

+Switch & Lever du har det bra du. Keep up the good work. :)

Someone who has a workshop in an old church! (the previous company I worked for)

You mentioned it being inspired by “mooses” . Are you sure you didn’t mean meese? :)

That's the plural for "mouse"... as in one mouse, 2 meese. You know.. "I hate you meeses to pieces"!

Moosae? 🤔

The slightly outwardish legs are much more moose than heese.
Heese with legs like that would be already on Your plate as sausage.

Moosen. In the woods... woodsen.

Actually it started as horses (heese?) but moose fit my northern Swedish narrative better 😉

Wait....0:11 I'm confused....

+Switch & Lever I wasn't. That's because I was distracted by the moose.

Just try not to look at that hamster, it’s full of delusions of grandeur!

+Switch & Lever thought so...

Don’t mind that parrot, he’s always trying to get attention!

Awesome build, thanks!
