Two potent totalitarian movements emerged in the 20th century: National Socialism and Communism. Both can be viewed as the consequence of existential angst and inauthenticity. Both were supported by the lie.

I am just sorry for the students. How is anyone able to take a single note from Petersons lectures? They are amazing. No doubt about that. How he lays down and connects really complicated questions is absolutely fascinating.

I just wonder if he is doing this every day for several hours. This passion and energy what he puts into his lectures is unbelivable.

Don Hoffman's TEDx talk takes the nature of evolutions perception of reality further. I recommend you take a look.

Why not google nazi party with the words, political money. . .find GE....Morgan stanley. . GE Banks, Ford, Chevron. War is money. A better plan would to put the Republican National committee with the words political money. . .find the same nest. . .find the real answer.

Hitler applied to art school before world war 1 after the war he was one of the few who stayed on with the army. He was ordered to spy on the group that would become the national socialists (nazis), he left the army soon after.

The lecture is started with a talk about Solzhenitsyn, Jung and Nazi Germany, but during the second half it goes down to theoritization around Coca-Cola aluminum can. Wow...

For many years, I've thought that there is a suppressed historical narrative that connects Nazism (and the Holocaust) with Western approaches to radicalism, anti-Semitism, and the intellectual late-19th century New Age movement (particularly Theosophy, which would explicitly talk about the reinsertion of the Jehovahic deity into Christianity).

I know Dr. Peterson talks about all of these topics, was just wondering if any kind soul would point to any lectures that might be relevant. Thanks!

This is what passion does to you... thank you Dr. Peterson for everything.

This is a man who has specialized in identifying the symptoms of our circumstances - regurgitating all the "usual suspects" without an exit strategy. To refer to war as an organic outgrowth of social dysfunction is paramount to calling the wizard behind the curtain just a figment of erroneous thinking.
Good luck to all his acolytes.
best

P.S. Notice that his delivery is based in antagonism, as tho he is in continuous opposition to his listener. It is a kind of bullying we are observing.

@virtuosa69
I'm very cautious around people who become iconic in nature in such a short time. It requires extraordinary PR. I grant you, they don't pick dummies to represent the academic agenda but i read between the lines to form an opinion. ( that means I'm interested in what he does not say more in what he says).

Your problem with Dr. Peterson IS jealousy. Most of what you talk about in the linked video, particularly from 16:00-17:23, IS what Dr. Peterson lectures about in a supremely articulate way. Your version is far more dumbed down and meandering and it's very hard to stay interested and focused on what it is you have to say. However, you seem to be a good person with good intentions, so the best to you; and with that said, give Dr. Peterson credit, if you've truly followed his works and lectures and are honest with yourself, you will admit that his work is honest, righteous AND good.

Peterson's brilliance outshines his liberal opponents. Liberals just look like mental retards. Dead behind the eyes liberal monsters do not understand real genius when it confronts them.

1:09:42 Disagree with what Jordan says here about young children seeing meaning shining forth because they haven’t yet built inhibitory structures. I suggest it’s the other way around; it’s because overlaid ‘meaning’ or ‘use’ isn’t yet present at that age that everything is a fascinatingly fresh mystery for them. Conversely, it’s the layered projected meaning & use that can make everything familiar, dull & boring for adults & older children.

Does anyone know the specific psychoanalytic theory he is talking about at ~11 minutes? ("Looking at the results to determine motivation") Would love to read more about that!

The fact is that the Darwinian subjective truths are the Best we get. It's entirely true, your arguments about truth. It's just that the facts your right about; it's a Newtonian fact that your right about the Darwinian truth. ........solipsism.......,,,,,,,

The Newtonian reality itself recurs further than the Darwinian perception of it, in terms of the arguments about what everything is, which we are apart of. Don't forget that your right about our sense of truth. But we are a part of/inside of reality more than reality is inside of us. You say that consciousness is an entire universe. Well it's true because life has to have a concept of the universe, because life literally is a perception of the local universe. But Peterson, these are Newtonian truths about how the universe works. I say the cold hard reality itself changes less by our perception of it, than we change by how it all works. I say Newtonian truths recur further. It's an objective reality that we can only know subjectively. But that itself is an objective truth.

When Jesus allowed the devils in legion to enter into the ( unclean) pigs, they all immediately committed sucide by drowning. Why legion himself didn’t do that long before this, is worth deep consideration.

Articulation is an art. Master artists are those who what they say makes more sense to others than what they thought themselves.

Found him a while ago questioning a intro to pyscology lecture from Yale here questioning Paul Bloom's lectures accuracy, I thought his lecture were a little biased so I stumbled across this soon after glad I did, I found out that pyscology has been invaded by political correctness, and feminist ideology more or less corrupted.

I'm glad I discovered these lectures.

Yes I remember this daycare/Satanic abuse scandal in progress when I lived in the UK in the early 80s. As someone immersed in the Alt. Media (ie "conspiracy theory") world I always keep case this in mind as an important historical reference. Another great lecture from Peterson. Thanks!

I've gone over the Stanford Prison Experiment which JP refers to at 40:35 and it is 100% junk science. Even the guy who organized it and was pulling the strings behind the scenes couldn't tell who was acting and who wasn't so obviously the participants couldn't either. To act as though it is any way relevant to anything beyond an unusual curiosity is just dense.

I wonder if there are parallels between the children in the book Satan's Silence and the first settlers of North America? Now that victimhood has been entrenched they create a narrative the substantially deviates from the truth.
