When stealth is done right, it’s a gratifying test of your skill and focus. When stealth is done wrong, it’s more irritating than a mosquito in your room at 3AM asking to borrow a tenner. Here we vent about the stealth sections that boiled our blood. Join us in the comments with your own least fave stealth sections and subscribe for a video like this every week: http://www.tinyurl.com/SubToOxbox

Remember the stealth section in GTA San Andreas where you had to steal Madd Dogg's rhyme book for aspiring rapper OG Loc using not stolen cars and RPGs but stealth?

Madd Dogg is clearly somewhat paranoid, as his house is full of guards patrolling such tactically important locations as his swimming pool and bar.

Through hard work and the power of self belief, CJ overcomes the fact that GTA San Andreas is in no way built to handle stealth to heroically stab this entire private security force to death, so that a mediocre rapper can learn that place rhymes with face.

Or how about that stealth section in Aliens: Colonial Marines, where the Xenomorph variant dubbed the Boiler comes shambling at you unless you hold perfectly still?

And who could forget the stealthy bit in Life in Strange, in which Max is whisked off to a nightmarish landscape of dark corridors, stalked by her least favourite people? We always knew hell would be a forced stealth section.

Before I even properly watch this I would add the first sneaking part in cod advanced warfare. And being as linear as cod is, there's no way around it

The bananas were obvious bait though for Yiga Clan. Took about 2 attempts to workout they're OP

To be fair, once you figure out the banana lure thing with the Yiga it becomes hilarious how dumb and easy they are to pass

I can't watch this due to spoilers, but I MUST mention the "Be a Raptor" quest in World of Warcraft is a serious, groundhog-day flavored pain.
-Enemies detect you if and only if you are close enough. Hiding silently behind a tree out of their line of sight does not matter
-Enemies respawn too fast, meaning very tight windows of movement when you can take out enemies
-Getting caught once can be avoided, but escaping afterwards requires guessing what spot is out of the enemie's chase range due to problem 1, and how WoW is designed.
-There are only 4 checkpoints. This stealth mission has about 12 sections, IMO

Most of the frustration is the long waits in enemy patrol patterns, difficulty in the game engine and invisible triggers rather than in-context events, and sparse checkpoints.

dammit. janet! yooou know why!

Really? Breath of the Wild you went with Yiga instead of that awful Korok trial? At least no wolves revealed you three feet from the end of the trial starting you all over again.

Why does everyone hate colonial marines? I thought it was great

Extremely helpful tip for VtM Elizabethan Rendezvous. There is a corrupt guard at the beginning, talk to him, to get limited access to the ship (just to the nearby monitor ) go to said monitor, cycle through the images on the nearby monitor until you have it on the Ankaran Sarcophagus bam mission complete, you just have to leave, oh bonus the crew manifest is right nearby. Do the mission this way and you'll finish all objectives and leave in less then 3 minutes. Honestly it's one of the easiest missions. Easiest one is where you gotta stop zombies from leaving the graveyard while the grave keeper goes out (go hide in a dark corner of the graveyard, no zombies will spawn). You are welcome. Oh and Human in life, Tremere in death Bloodmagic op.

Also, if you really want to, you can kill all the cops with next to no repercussions. You might not get the apartments, but if you are Nos or Tremere, you still can get a swanky apartment through other means.

Aren't we gonna talk about Shenmue? the controls were already REALLY detached to the point where it just felt like you were telling Ryo what to do instead of actually controlling him, and then they make you sneak around a dock yard at night while avoiding guards? it's like trying to walk a tight rope with no feet! (no offense to people without feet)

FLASHING LIGHTS WARNING
For the Alien section part of this video since the author didn’t think to include one

Ow my eyes.

Yeah yiga clan hideout was hard af

10:13 PREACH! I got my butt kicked so many times before I decided to skip the treasure and cheese it with Stasis+. Made my life so much easier. At least the boss fight was easy and hilarious and I had free roam of the place once I kicked his butt.

The yiga clan is distracted by the mighty bananas if you drop them in their sight

Pretty sure the Deer is supposed to represent Rachel, like the blue butterfly represented Chloe.

What about Assassins Creed 2 and all of its missions where you have to go around undetected or else you die

I was listening in to this in the background and I heard "Right Alistair? Right?" and I was like "Holy shit what did i do" (my name is alistair)

Literally almost all of cod ww2 missions

There is a mission in call of duty ghosts that really annoying you had to sneak around a forest

Farcry 4! STEALTH ISNT FARCRY 4 BUT U HAVE TO DO A STEALTH MISSION

At least in Zelda BOTW you can just kill them the guards once your caught. That is if you can avoid getting hit.

How is this in my recommendation? I don’t even HAVE HANDS

So no watchdogs jailbreaking then?

Just bait the Yiga with bananas and sneak strike them from behind, killing them in one hit

What about deadpool the mission where you have to stealth kill morbius clone in a mansion I quit the game after that mission

I beat all those on the first try except for the yiga clan fuck them

Its not that bad, but i really am not liking the mary jane missions in Marvels Spider-Man

But we do have a sequel to Alien Isolation, it is a mobile game. OOF

Oh I have a doozy. The Shenmue stealth section in the old warehouse district. Even when using their cover system, the guards can still see you peeking around the corner, the clunky controls don't help, and worst of all, when you do finally find the warehouse, Ryu stops to say 'Oh, there's the warehouse I'm looking for', while all of the guards decide in that very moment to shine their flashlights on you and send you back to the beginning.

Ive never had a problem with assassin creed stealth parts not even the trailing onces never been caught on them either their very easy if u have the know how and i played and beaten almost all assassin creed games

The stupid laugh from the other guy in GTA San Andreas drives me nuts

The Yiga Clan hideout is really easy if you crouch on the boxes and play your Bananas right

How is the Yiga Clan forced stealth at all? I just fought my way through and it isn't that difficult.

There was a way to get through the ship mission in Vampire, you could just walk up to the first cop who would make that mission very easy with a high enough persuasion skill. I believe seduction worked too

The yiga clan hideout was super easy.

I principal wells and I’m, Max

The San Andreas stealth mission was one of the easiest missions in the game. I beat in 10 mins on my 1st try. The fact people find it difficult or annoying just baffles me; how are you so bad that it was difficult?

Can't forget Duke Prosper's Chateau Haine in Dragon Age II. Good thing you can literally choose to just not do it since you move incredibly slowly and have nothing but a candle stick and pebbles as your only stealth tools.

While watching this I got to a stealthy part in vampyr (stealth if you don't want to fight a hell ton of priwen guys) where I'm in the morgue and I have to find insulin while I have to make sure no guards of priwen yell "A Leech! Over there!"

Botw stealth section was easy peasy.

The assassin's creed 3 section was pretty easy, if I remember correctly it only took me a couple of tries. Just takes patience.

I know these aren't really forced because they're side missions, but I'm just remembering Infamous where you had to follow conduits to get the blast shards they were hiding. Got too close and they would suicide bomb themselves (destroying the shards I guess), and of course too far away and you failed the mission. Which weren't that bad because you mainly had to just run on rooftops and keep them in your sights. Which you couldn't just kill them immediately and take the shards off their dead corpse. It's either follow or fail the mission. 😐

reads title of video The Yiga Clan hideout from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild better be on this list

Assassins creed 4 the boat following misson

Lol two thirds of an Ellen. I probably laughed too hard at that

Viking: Battle for Asgard

There's a few sections and they're painful! Vikings shouldn't be sneaking around! They used fear and intimidation not sneaky tricks!

How do the shadowing missions in L.A. Noire rank? I figured out how to do them smoothly...after twenty attempts. And, if you ever do a video about the worst chase scenes in games, L.A. Noire is a likely candidate. It's like Phelps is under some evil compulsion to drive/run/whatever slower than whomever he's chasing.

I can go through the San Andreas mission easily. It’s really not that hard, like you mentioned “it takes patience and SKILL.” If you wanted to do grand theft auto you should have chosen GTAV where you’re forced to sneak into a highly guarded place with ONLINE IDIOTS.

You don't even half to go onto the shipping container part of the ship if you can convince the cop to give you the password
